Our fundamentals class is designed to help members learn how to train in our gym. Many people have no experience with functional movement in a gym environment. Many of us learned to exercise in the era of strength machine circuits, leg presses, and aerobics classes; making the adjustment to using today’s training tools can be hard.
This class will introduce you to these tools and the methods we use in our training programs. It is appropriate for all skill levels, and is the place to start if you’ve never taken part in one of our classes. This class features as much instruction as you’ll need, and we teach you not only the strength movements, but the fundamentals of mobility training and metabolic conditioning, as well. This is a great workout for any athlete. The exercises are scaled to every strength level, and result in a great total-body workout.
Be warned: fundamental does not mean easy. This class, like all of our classes, is designed to push you to the next level.
In each class, we cover movement preparation, mobility and flexibility, basic strength exercises, and metabolic conditioning. If you’re new to resistance training or are just interested in a great session, this is the class for you.
This class will be offered at 5:30pm Tuesday and Thursday.
